TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

First and foremost, I believe that learning music in any capacity should be an enjoyable and exciting experience. I have a strong passion for teaching piano and theory at all levels and feel a great sense of fulfillment watching my students develop their musical knowledge. I always strive to create a positive, encouraging and open-minded atmosphere that fosters growth and musical development. Music empowers each student to form their own artistic interpretations, build confidence and develop their sense of creativity. 

Each lesson curriculum is designed to help the student achieve their individual goals. I have been fortunate to learn from many great teachers who have influenced my approach to teaching. Through my own experience studying the Alexander Technique and on-going interest in musician’s health, one of my goals is to help students establish secure and ergonomically efficient practice habits at all levels of their development.
